The GC University's trip began as an elementary school in 1897 in the present working of Govt. School for Women, Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad. It was elevated to High School and Intermediate College in 1905 and 1924 separately. It was lifted to the degree level in 1933 and postgraduate controls were presented in 1963. The long voyage that began with the unassuming starting achieved its peak when it was allowed the status of University in October 2002.
